He has recently been elected to the American Institute of Architects, College of Fellows and received the highest distinction of Honorary FAIA in 2017, only the third Thai architect to receive this distinction in history.

    In 2016, Sathirut Tandanand was awarded Honorary Membership to Japan Institute of Architects (Hon. JIA) and Korean Institute of
    Registered Architects (Hon. KIRA). Both are the highest honors given by the country’s Professional
    Institutions.

    In 2015, he became the first Thai Architect to be elected as President of the Architects Regional Council Asia (ARCASIA). He initiated programs for young architects, created travel scholarships, and help improve the professional practice in 21 member countries. He also was a guest speaker
    at Harvard University Asia Pacific Design Conference in Cambridge Massachusetts, USA.

    His design works include many large scale projects in Thailand and Internationally. The master plan designs also covers many countries including Thailand, Vietnam, China, Cambodia, and Nigeria, West Africa.

    Sathirut Tandanand is a graduate of University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Bachelor of Architecture. He received a Masters of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, New York City, USA.
